Primal Dawn has brought a lot of awesome cards to the constructed format of the Hex TCG. Many decks are already seeing powerful changes to their composition as players are experimenting with new decks and strategies. In addition, players are also constructing some sweet new decks that are definitely worth trying out. Today's notable brew is a versatile and deadly BW reanimator list that's been performing well in gauntlet. Let's take a look at the list and discuss some of the card choices. This deck was created by dmcAxle and went 5/1 in a constructed gauntlet played on 5/1/16

This deck is all about reanimating some powerful cards and getting an edge on your opponent through shear value. With cards like Crocosaur that excel at dealing with a swarm of small troops and the persistent threat of Wrathwood Master Moss, this versatile list is able to pressure opponents while sustaining itself and maintaining a health array of options for play within the crypt. With a versatile suite of removal and threats, this list is a great contender to become a new tier 1 deck.
The overall goal of the deck is to out value your opponents and reanimate powerful cards from your crypt that got there from your champion power (Kagulichu) or other activators like Cottontail Explorer and Wretched Wrangler. The deck also plays powerful cards like Uruunaz and Crocosaur which make it easy to deal with your opponent's small troops and generate extra pressure. With 3 copies of Rise Again and Rotten Rancor, it is easy to keep generating additional threats and maintain control of the board. Rotten Rancor acts as both a threat and removal and running 4 copies of the card with two copies of Rise Again might not be unrealistic for the future of this archetype. Wrathwood Master Moss is extremely annoying for opponents to deal and can continue to threaten them while you establish additional threats on board. Having such a sticky troop is crucial to maintaining board control while continuing to evolve threats and develop our crypt.
The notable new cards in this list from Primal Dawn are Rune Ear Hierophant, Greenpaw Emancipator, and Cottontail Explorer.
Greenpaw Emancipator is probably the most exciting card in this list. When empowered, it provides 20 points worth of attack in a single card, and we're reanimating that for 5 mana. The value and massive threat that Greenpaw provides is invaluable to a deck like this in which the goal of reanimating is to out value our opponents. Greenpaw is very exciting, especially if you already have a Rune Ear out.
Finally, Cottontail Explorer provides a great deal of ramp and utility to the deck and enables some powerful reanimations. While it can't completely replace Chlorophyllia, it does remove the need to play 4 copies of the card. Cottontail provides a good early body and helps setup our crypt for reanimations and generating value.
Overall, Greenpaw emancipator, Rune Ear Hierophant, and Cottontail explorer make this a deck worth exploring. While it still might need some tweaks, it's likely a BW reanimator list like this will rise as a Hex tcg constructed tier 1 deck. \
